9H is the top of the common pencil-hardness scale coatings are rated on. In plain terms, the surface is hard and slick, so the light scratches and swirls that come from regular washing are far less likely to show. It's not armor against rocks — that's what PPF is for.

No — that's PPF's job. Ceramic protects against chemicals, UV and water spots and makes washing easier. Many clients pair both.
You'll drive away the same day. The coating keeps hardening over the next few days, so we'll ask you to hold off on washing it for about a week. After that, easy hand washes are all it needs — plus a quick yearly inspection to keep the warranty valid.
